There were two Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round replays on Wednesday night.
At the Dripping Pan, Bostik League Premier side Lewes achieved a record 8-1 FA Cup win which at the same time was visiting Bostik South Central side Molesey`s record FA Cup defeat.
James Hammond gave the Rooks a 15th minute lead that Ryan Marklew levelled after 26 minutes.
But Harry Reed and Billy Medlock scored to make it 3-1 to Lewes at the break.
The hosts went nap in the second half though, treating the 350 crowd to further goals from Ronnie Conlon after 55 and 61 minutes, a second for Medlock, this time from the penalty spot after 68 minutes and a quickfire brace from sub Luke Blewden on 78 and 82 minutes.
Bostik South East side Cray Wanderers earned a trip to Metropolitan Police on Saturday but only after an almighty struggle against Southern Counties East League Premier Division hosts Rusthall at the Jockey Farm Stadium.
On a dramatic evening, Cray seemed to be on the way with Michael Power’s 12th minute goal.
However, an own goal from Junior Dadson on 56 minutes and some fine saves from home `keeper Callum Christie meant the game went to extra-time.
The drama didn’t end there with Cray re-taking the lead with a Power penalty 2 minutes before the end of the first period of extra-time, but almost straight away Callum Gallie scored to make it 2-2.
So, it went to penalties and Cray edged it 4-3. |
