The youngster joins on the back of a successful Checkatrade Trophy appearance for the Addicks against AFC Wimbledon.

Hackett-Fairchild has already made 6 appearances for the Charlton first-team and is very highly-rated by the club.

He began his youth career with Dagenham & Redbridge, before his move to Charlton in 2016.

The youngster will be available for tomorrow’s Irn-Bru Cup tie against Dunfermline Athletic.

Hackett-Fairchild told Wood`s press officer Craig Draycott: “Going out on loan and getting experience of men’s football has been a target of mine this season, whether that be at Charlton or elsewhere.

“The opportunity at Boreham Wood came up and as soon as I heard about it, I was buzzing to get started.

“I need to come somewhere and prove that I am ready, and I feel that this is the best option for me, I am just buzzing to get started and to get some goals for the club.

“I spoke to the gaffer and he said that the style of play here will suit me and that he has seen a lot of me.

“I wanted to go somewhere that suits my style of play and for me, this was the best place and the gaffer has showed a lot of confidence in me. I just want to repay him and do the business for the team.”

“I spoke to Josh Umerah quite a lot initially and he said that he is really enjoying it and that it is a good place to be, with a nice vibe.

“I hope I can add to the team, I think that I am good all-round really. I can hold it up and win headers, I am good on the ball and I can make things happen.”

Manager Luke Garrard said: “He has been heavily involved with Charlton’s first-team this year, and he was heavily involved with them last year as well.

“He has got a great build, a 6`3” frame, he’s got great technique, he runs the channels and I think that he will be a positive member of the squad.

“Discussions were on-going with Reeco and I want to thank Steve Gallen and Steve Avery for their efforts at Charlton in getting the deal over the line.

“This is a deal that I have wanted to do for a while, I wanted to get him in the building earlier, but Lee Bowyer was very insistent on him playing in the Checkatrade trophy.

“He delivered on that and Reeco now know that he needs to go out and get games.

“Hopefully, he goes out and delivers for both himself and us fundamentally, and I look forward to working with him closely in the next few weeks”.
