....Lewis Thompson
and Lewis Mansell on short-term loan deals from SkyBet Championship side
Blackburn Rovers.
The duo, who have
both been a part of Rovers` under-23 squad, will spend the next month on loan
at Broadhurst Park and will head straight into the squad for the home league
game against Southport tomorrow.
The switch to
Broadhurst Park will give them both a chance to play regular first-team
football for the Red Rebels, who are currently in the relegation zone.
Eighteen-year-old
left-back Thompson will add some cover to the backline following the departure
of Luke Ashworth to Ashton United earlier today.
Twenty-year-old Mansell,
who plays as a striker, will provide more competition up front alongside Liam
Dickinson and Kurt Willoughby.
FC United have also confirmed
that goalkeeper Dave Carnell has returned as short-term cover for Billy Crellin
and is available to play tomorrow and against Chester on Tuesday night.
Carnell, who was
voted as FC United`s players’ player of the year for the 2014/15 season, is on
the books at league rivals Ashton United. |
