Cooney originated from Ireland and played for Athlone Town and Longford before trialling with Glasgow Rangers.

After a scholarship with the Adidas Academy, he joined the Brentford development squad in October 2014, as well as playing with Tilbury and East Grinstead Town.

But following a move from London to Leeds, he joined Scarborough Athletic and then Brighouse Town before signing for Boston United in January 2016 and promptly made his debut against Hednesford Town two days later.

The well-travelled 23-year-old spent time in the Welsh Premier with Cefn Druids whilst on Morecambe`s books and also turned out for Margate and Australian outfit Preston Lions.

Oualah has returned to the Tanners for the second time from Vanarama National League outfit Aldershot Town, where he had been for a short time after joining from Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South side Hendon.

Supporters will be familiar with Oualah who played a pivotal role in the club`s run in the Emirates FA Cup last season before joining Hayes & Yeading United.

He started his career in Uxbridge's youth team and has also featured for the likes of Godalming Town, Hungerford Town, Leighton Town, Harefield United, Burnham, Merstham, Bedford Town, Aylesbury United and Farnborough.

Theobalds is another who starred in the run to the Second Round of the FA Cup last season.

He originally signed midway through the season before last by former boss Jimmy Bullard, numbering Aylesbury United, Redbridge and Barkingside as his former clubs.

His outstanding performances attracted the attention of the scouts and he spent some time training with Queens Park Rangers before he joined Vanarama National League South side Concord Rangers in the summer.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ryan Richefond and defender Matt Drage have been released from the club.

Richefond made 5 appearances for the Tanners after arriving in the summer, while Drage, who also signed in pre-season, figured 6 times.
