The experienced
striker caught the eye after playing a handful of games in pre-season scoring
three goals along the way.
Both parties were
always interested in doing a deal, but an injury sustained to the player halted
progress.
Colley told the club`s
website: “It feels great, I’m happy to have signed and I’m very excited for the
season ahead.”
Colley has also
featured for Harrogate Railway, Stockport County, Bradford Park Avenue, Stalybridge
Celtic, Boston United and Farsley Celtic and is looking to use his experience
to help the team.
“It was unfortunate
I picked up a knee injury a week before the start of the season, but I’m back
fit now and can’t wait to get going.”
Assistant-manager
Simon Collins expressed how pleased he was to get the deal done in time for the
weekend: “It’s good to finally have Lamin at our disposal.
“He gives us
something different in our forward line; he’s quick, powerful and has a real
eye for goal so hopefully he can do well for us.”
Colley goes straight
into the squad for today’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Bamber Bridge.
