Due to the Emirates FA Cup, only five league games took place and we could have seen a clear leader, had Sheffield FC not held former Ebac Northern Leaguers Marske to a 3-3 draw at the Coach & Horses.

Jamie Yates gave Club a 17th minute lead and then Leon Osborne doubled the home side`s lead 11 minutes later.

Marske pulled one back 3 minutes later through recent signing Damien Stevens, but the hosts made it 3-1 after 55 minutes through sub Waide Fairhurst.

But Glen Butterworth reduced the deficit and then Adam Wheatley grabbed an equaliser 2 minutes into stoppage time.

Brighouse won 3-1 at the Dual Seal Stadium against Loughborough Dynamo.

Aaron Martin gave the home side the lead on the half-hour mark.

Tom Haigh doubled Town`s lead just before the break and then 2 minutes into the second half, it was virtually game over when Tom Robinson made it 3-0.

Ryan Robbins grabbed a consolation for the Leicestershire side 12 minutes from time.

Aaron Opoku scored the only goal of the game after 32 minutes at The Moat to earn Gresley FC a second win of the season against Carlton Town, while newly-promoted Pontefract Collieries made it three wins from five games by beating Stocksbridge Park Steels 2-0 at home.

Michael Dunn put Collieries in front after just 5 minutes but it wasn`t until 10 minutes from time that Eli Hey made sure of the points with the hosts` second.

The day`s only other game saw Pontefract`s former Toolstation Northern Counties East League rivals Pickering Town get off the mark by beating in-form Lincoln City 2-1 at Ashby Avenue.

The Pikes took a 27th minute lead with a Ryan Blott penalty conversion.

And then on 62 minutes, a deflected effort from Billy Logan doubled the visitors` lead.

The Whites pulled one back through Rob Norris 9 minutes from time, but the Pikes held on to record their first win as an NPL side.
