....Bostik League North Romford to progress into the Second Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.

After a goalless opening 45 minutes, the Poppies broke the deadlock in the first minute of the second period with a Brett Solkhon header – his 100th goal for the club.

But against the run of the play, Romford equalised on 52 minutes when Kurt Smith finished well high into the top corner.

Parity lasted barely 3 minutes as Kettering re-took the lead when Danny Cossington hauled down Ben Milnes and Solkhon netted his second from the resulting penalty.

Ten minutes later it was effectively game over when Rhys Hoenes rounded Boro `keeper the keeper Rhys Hughes and tucked home well.

Hoenes added his second and the visitors` fourth just 2 minutes later when he pounced on a loose ball after Hughes had parried.

And Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One East new boys AFC Mansfield also avoided an upset when they hosted Total Motion Midland League Premier Division Stourport Swifts.

But they had to come back from a 41st minute goal down when a fine strike from Ben Priest flew into the top corner from outside the box.

The hosts were level just shy of the hour-mark when Lynton Karkach went through on goal inside the area with just the 'keeper to beat and he fired low into the bottom corner.

On 82 minutes, Mansfield won it when Brad Wells won the ball in the opposition half and danced through two or three defenders before firing past Zach Jeacock.
