....Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division on Monday night after an emphatic 6-0 win against Matlock Town at Mill Street.

The Nottinghamshire side broke the deadlock after 37 minutes with a fine 25-yard strike from Jack Thomas.

Little was seen in the opening 45 minutes to suggest the final outcome, but the crowd of 342 saw Basford double their lead after 58 minutes with a cool finish from Courey Grantham.

Then on 72 minutes it was game over as recent signing Zayn Hakeem set up Matt Thornhill to make it 3-0.

Five minutes from the end of normal time, Nat Watson converted a penalty after Thomas had been brought down.

And then on 87 minutes, youth team product Kole Lambert, who came off the bench 7 minutes earlier, burst clear to score his first senior goal.

In stoppage time, young Lambert bagged a second with another very good finish.
