Daws Leaves Relegated Olympic
Simon Daws has resigned as manager of Radcliffe Olympic, relegated from the East Midlands Counties League.

Daws, who played under Martin O’Neill at Grantham Town and also turned out for Radcliffe Olympic, previously spent six years in charge of Holwell Sports and then joint-managed Newark Town before joining Olympic at the start of the 2017/18 season at a time when the team needed a complete re-build after the previous management departed for pastures new and the majority of the squad left with them.

Whilst it has been a difficult season, which culminated in relegation from the East Midlands Counties League back to Step 7 and the Notts Senior League, the club wishes to place on record, its sincere gratitude and thanks to Daws for assembling what was becoming a good young squad and for his tireless determination in seeking to move the team forwards and complete the season, when many outside of the club expected the team to fold.
