.....One West on Wednesday night after a hard-fought 2-1 win at Skelmersdale United, who have still yet to win.

Jon Macken`s Boro side took the lead after 13 minutes when Rick Smith found himself in the right place at the right time to head over Scott Moloney in the Skem goal.

The home side put the league leaders under pressure after that, but it was Radcliffe who found the net next just shy of the half-hour mark

After a goalmouth scramble, the ball fell to Kingsley Williams who pounced to poke the ball home.

Two-goal leads at half-time are often dangerous and it looked like that old adage was going to be proved right again when Skem pulled themselves back into the game 9 minutes after the restart when Will Dunne’s free-kick beat Ollie Martin in the Boro goal.

And despite some pressure from the home side, Radcliffe showed the sort of confidence that being unbeaten brings and held on for all three points to regain top spot after losing it 24 hours earlier to Colne.
