Simpson (pictured) played for Southern West champions Taunton Town last season before moving back Paulton Rovers to finish the campaign.
He told the club`s website: "Melksham’s a good club with great support and I wanted to be part of that. I came on loan here a few seasons ago from Chippenham and enjoyed it. I know some of the players and staff personally and think we can work well together.
“I have been contacted by a few teams this summer but feel Melksham will be a good place for me to come and work hard with the boys to cause a few upsets to the top teams.”
Manager Kieran Baggs said: "This is a player who will give us a completely different dimension and offer great athleticism. He's proven at this level and has scored a lot of goals. Lightening quick and a handful for any defender, Bally has worked tirelessly to get this deal over the line so credit to him for that."
Wall joins from former Toolstation Western League rivals Bradford Town.
Wall said: “I’m excited to join Melksham. I know a lot of the lads as I live and work in Melksham so it’s great to finally pull on a black and yellow shirt.
“I will naturally receive a bit of stick joining from Bradford but that’s just something I’ll have to take. After playing here last season it’s an unbelievable facility and a huge draw for me to play in front of a crowd of that size every week.”
Baggs said: “Waller will be one of the final pieces for this season. We have been talking for a number of weeks and I know he had a lot of offers for this season so I’m glad we can get this announced before we start back pre-season. He’s someone who fits in with the club`s ethos of locally sourced talent and also within our budget. He’s someone who looks after themselves with regards to his fitness and that will be vitally important for the standard we are stepping up into this year.”
Simpson and Wall follow Kyle Phillips and Ross Lye in moving to the side promoted from the Toolstation Western League.
Goalkeeper Phillips has plenty of Southern League experience with the likes of Paulton Rovers, Mangotsfield United, Frome Town and Larkhall Athletic.
Midfielder Lye returns to Melksham for a second spell.
His other previous clubs include Larkhall, Chippenham Town, Welton Rovers and Corsham Town. |
