Sinnott signs a one-year deal with the Reds with his most previous club being at National League neighbours Chesterfield.
Sinnott, who plays as a central attacking midfielder, came through the Huddersfield Town academy and was rewarded with a professional contract.
He made his first appearance against Leicester City in the FA Cup Fourth Round in February 2013.
His League debut came at Nottingham Forest as the Terriers lost 6-1 at the City Ground also in February 2013.
Sinnott signed a new two-year deal with Huddersfield before his contract was cancelled by mutual consent in 2015.
He has also had loan spells at Altrincham and Bury during 2013 and following the cancellation of his contract with Huddersfield in 2015, Sinnott signed with Altrincham for a second time managed by his father, Lee Sinnott (who now manages Gainsborough Trinity).
A summer move to FC Halifax Town followed and Sinnott played a pivotal role in the Shaymen’s promotion campaign in the 2016/17 season; scoring 9 goals as Halifax earned promotion to the National League via the play-offs.
His outstanding performances earned him a move to then League Two Chesterfield on a two-year deal in June 2017 but his appearances were limited and his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
Boss Billy Heath told the club`s press officer Amar Sharma: “Jordan is pure quality; he is a central midfielder at the highest level. He is great on the ball and I had him at Halifax during the promotion campaign and he was outstanding, he was an integral part of that team and scored nine times.”
“He is good on the ball, has a great delivery from set pieces and crosses in general. Jordan is a good all-round footballer and can score goals from midfield and will weigh in with goals.”
“He is a fantastic signing for us, another strong addition to the squad and we are delighted to have him here at Alfreton, he brings more quality to us”. |
