Boro were held 1-1 at Newcastle Town, whose Rod Orlando-Young cancelled out Shelton Payne`s early 8th minute opener in the 74th minute.

Colne and Kidsgrove Athletic suffered their first defeats.

Colne lost 2-0 at new boys Runcorn Linnets, for whom Freddie Potter on the hour-mark and Aaron Morris 14 minutes later were on target, while Grove lost 1-0 at home to Atherton Collieries, whose Connor Gaul scored the only goal on 66 minutes.

Chasetown earned their first win, 4-2 at the Butcher`s Arms against Droylsden.

George Cater after 3 minutes had the Scholars ahead only for Sefton Gonzales to level 20 minutes later.

Jacob Lovatt and a Jack Langston penalty stretched the visitors` lead to 3-1 which Brandon Zibaka cut in the 81st minute.

Will Whieldon added Chasetown`s fourth in time added on.

At the other end of the table, Skelmersdale United and Glossop North End are still win-less, with Skem being hammered 5-1 at Trafford and the Hillmen going down 2-0 at new boys Widnes.

At Shawe View, Matt Bryan hit a second half hat-trick for Trafford to add to Dan Wilkins and Aaron Burns goals – Sean Yeldrem replying.

Mike Grogan after 27 minutes and Jamie Rainford on 63 minutes scored the goals that won it for Widnes.

Elsewhere, three goals in the final 8 minutes from Chris Almond, Morgan Homson-Smith and Josh Klein-Davies sealed Prescot Cables` home win over Market Drayton Town.

Logan Jeffs and Max Leonard were on target in each half for Mossley AFC at Seel Park against Kendal Town, who failed to respond, while Rob Stevenson and Dan Trickett-Smith in the first half and Jordan Johnson and a Darren Chadwick penalty in the second half sealed Leek Town`s win over Ramsbottom United at Harrison Park.

And James Barrigan and Ethan Devine gave Colwyn Bay`s Craig Hogg a good start at Clitheroe.
