Smith announced the decision to manager Graham Drury that he could no longer commit to Stamford due to work commitments and having recently become a dad for the first time.

Smith has made 272 appearances for Stamford stretching back to 2012.

He opened his goalscoring account when he was amongst the scorers as Stamford beat Lincoln United 5-1 at their old Wothorpe Road home.

This was the season Stamford gained promotion to the NPL Premier with play-off victory over Chasetown.

Smith showed great commitment on and off the pitch and this season became part of Drury`s coaching team along with Jon Challinor.

He has played under four different managers in his time with the club and was in the squad that reached the First Round of the FA Cup.

He also represented Antigua & Barbuda in the Caribbean Cup in November 2014.
