The loan was cut short due to injury, but he Ilkeston academy graduate signed permanently for the Gingerbreads during the summer of 2016.

McGrath told his club`s official website: “I am delighted to announce the signing of Curtis Burrows, who played 56 games last season for Grantham in their journey to the play-off final.

“He is a player who I have long admired and fits in perfectly with the footballing ethos here at Mickleover Sports. He will add undoubted quality and relentless work rate to our team.”

Burrows added: “I’m a local lad and everything seems right for where I am in this stage of my career.

“From playing against Mickleover numerous times, I’ve always admired the way they play good passing football, this is important for me as a player and a big factor in me joining the club. I feel that this is the rights place for me to develop as a footballer.

“I think I am joining Mickleover at the right time, from speaking to people at the club, it is clear to see there ambition moving forward and also some exciting developments at the football club. I’ve had a taste of a play-off final last season with Grantham, I want to be able to go one step further next season and feel that Mickleover has a great chance of doing that. I’m still young at 21 but feel I have a decent amount of experience at this level and have a lot to offer as a player. I can’t wait to get started.”

Doran joins from another league rival in Buxton.

The midfielder progressed through the youth system at Hull City but was released in the summer of 2014.

He had spells with Whitby Town and Boston United before joining Harrogate Town and then the Bucks.

McGrath said: “I am really excited about managing and playing with such an exciting young talent here at Mickleover. Niall is an exceptional and really clever footballer and for someone so young has the ability to go on to bigger and better things. I believe he is at the right club with Mickleover Sports and will fit straight in to a side renowned for playing football.”

Doran said: “Having met the manager, I’m delighted to have signed for a club that’s clearly going forward. I’m excited and looking forward to playing the style of football that the club stands for. I feel like it’s a really good opportunity for me and will give my all to help the club succeed this season”.
