Whittle Joins Warrington`s Promotion Bid

Alex Whittle has joined Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Warrington Town.

Beginning his career in the Liverpool youth system, Whittle spent twelve years at Anfield before moving to Dunfermline Athletic in 2012 via the Nike Academy, making 58 appearances.

He had a brief spell at AFC Fylde before joining Southport in March 2016, making 7 league appearances.

The left-back joined York City in May 2016 from Southport and made a total of 68 appearances for the Minstermen before moving to SkyBet League Two side Forest Green Rovers in December 2017.

However, he made only a handful of appearances for Forest Green, as well as a return on loan to Southport towards the end of last season, before being released by the Stroud-based outfit.
