Both Casuals and their first-time visitors to the Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub, Salisbury FC, were promoted at the end of last season, with Casuals also being switched to the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division South from the Bostik South.

The Whites were expected to challenge for at least a play-off spot this season but heading to Surrey they had won two and drawn three of their opening six games, while the hosts had won just once – last Saturday at home to Swindon Supermarine – and had lost three.

Ollie Robinson gave the home side a 14th minute lead.

And then immediately after the break, Casuals doubled their advantage through Taurean Roberts.

Altrincham loanee Bay Downing reduced the deficit just past the hour-mark, but a third from sub Kyron Farrell in the 87th minute sealed the hosts` win.
