The initial loan period is for one month and Robert is available for City’s Emirates FA Cup tie at home to Plymouth Parkway on Sunday.
Robert, who has been capped by France at under-20 level, began his career at Ligue One outfit Lorient before moving to Doncaster Rovers and Swindon Town, and most recently Forest Green where he has also enjoyed recent loan spells at Aldershot Town.
City manager Marc Richards told http://www.gloucestercityafc.com: “We are delighted to have taken Fabien on an initial month`s loan and hopefully he will be available for selection for the FA Cup game this Sunday. He comes with some serious pedigree and we are looking forward to him adding some more quality to the squad from an attacking perspective.”
Chairman Rod Jenner added: “It’s brilliant that Marc has been able to bring Fabien to City. Once again, it’s a testament to the Club’s and Marc’s reputations that we’re able to bring in a player of Fabien’s calibre. He’s a fantastic addition to our squad, I’m excited to see what Fabien will bring to the table and cannot wait to see him in a City shirt”.
