The striker joins the Poachers from Toolstation Northern Counties East League side Skegness Town, having played in the UCL last season for Sleaford Town.

Edgley told http://bostontownfc.co.uk: "Alex again is another player that gives me something different and is proven at this level. He’s also a really nice lad and is keen to work hard and do well at Boston Town."

Nichols follows hot on the heels of the signing of former Grimsby Town winger Harry Deane.

The 26-year-old started his career as a schoolboy at Lincoln City before moving to the Mariners.

Deane was part of Grimsby's first-team squad in League Two under Mike Newell but then switched to Boston United.

He made several appearances for the Pilgrims in the National League North.

Since then he has played for Spalding United, Stamford AFC and the Poachers` league rivals Deeping Rangers.
