Ugwu began his career at Reading in 2011. During his time at the Madjeski Stadium he had four loan spells at Ebbsfleet United, Yeovil Town, Plymouth Argyle and Shrewsbury Town.
Following his departure from the Royals, Ugwu joined Scottish side Dunfermline Athletic where he scored 7 goals in 14 appearances - including a hat-trick against Stirling Albion.
After just six months with the Pars, Ugwu re-joined Yeovil in January 2015 and, despite finishing as the club's joint top-goalscorer with 5 in 22 games, he was unable to prevent their relegation to SkyBet League Two.
At the end of that campaign Ugwu was released by the Glovers and signed for Wycombe Wanderers in September 2015.
He made 22 appearances for the Chairboys, scoring twice before joining then-National League side Woking.
Ugwu's time at Kingfield was impressive, he notched 21 goals in all competitions for the Cards, catching the eye of the Spireites whom he joined on a two-year deal in May 2017.
Ugwu told the club`s press officer Craig Draycott: 的 am delighted. It feels like a fresh start and I am looking forward to enjoying my football again and scoring goals.
的 have spoken with the gaffer and I watched the team play against Chesterfield and it is a good team who plays good football.
的 like to do a bit of both as a striker, I like to go in behind and I can also show and come to feet and I think that I have got a good eye for goal. |
