The 26-year-old Spaniard can play in a variety of positions across the forward line, and links up with Neil Smith’s squad ahead of Saturday’s trip to Solihull Moors.

Luque started his footballing career in the prestigious FC Barcelona academy, where he spent two years, before moving on to FC Damm and Gramenet.

After successful spells at a range of other Spanish clubs, he took part in the ‘England: The Chance’ initiative, set up by Heybridge Swifts player Guillem Ramón.

This allowed numerous overseas-based players to train with the Essex outfit, with the view to earning a playing contract. Luque did just this, signing for the club in July 2017, before going on to become a firm fans’ favourite, winning the player of the month award twice in a row in his first two months with the Swifts.

At the end of the 2017/18 season, Luque’s 30 goals and 18 assists in all competitions saw him catch the eye of Lincoln boss Danny Cowley, earning a trial with the Imps. So far this season, Luque has made two appearances for the Sincil Bank side; a 90th minute substitute appearance against Notts County, as well as an appearance against Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup, scoring his first goal in professional football.

Upon completing the signing, manager Smith told http://www.bromleyfc.tv: “We heard about him last season, when he was at Heybridge Swifts, having scored 30-odd goals and been very dominant on the left-hand side.

“The opportunity came up for him to come here and get some games, and we were always going to welcome him on board. I spoke to Danny Cowley who has given him glowing reports, and it’s good to have him in to freshen things up.”

Luque himself added: “I’m quite excited! It’s a new challenge for me. It’s time for me to get some minutes and show what I’m capable of. Hopefully I can score some goals and help the team move forward.”
