....this week in 21-year-old defender Bradley Beatson from NPL Division One East side Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Beatson began his career with Sheffield Wednesday before making the move to Gainsborough Trinity where his performances impressed enough to see then-Vanarama National League North rivals Boston United pay a fee for his services.

He moved back to Gainsborough Trinity on loan until the end of the season and was not retained by Boston at the end of the season.

Beatson moved to Stocksbridge at the start of this season and became a permanent part of their back four.

Manager Dave Frecklington told the club`s Ian Richardson: “Brad is a left-footed defender with fantastic technique. Strong and aggressive. He played for me at Gainsborough Trinity and after a brief spell at Boston United, I got him back on loan. Great attitude and another who is a pleasure to work with and is a winner.”

Beatson goes straight in to tomorrow’s squad to travel to Stalybridge Celtic.
