Tavistock closed the gap down on leaders Plymouth Argyle back to a single point with a 7-1 win at home to Bodmin Town, which is widely believed to be the Priory Park sides heaviest league defeat since the SWP started 12 years ago.

St Austell climbed a place to fourth with two second half goals giving them a 2-0 win over visiting Camelford, but third-placed Falmouth Town fell to a 1-2 home defeat against the fast-improving Launceston at Bickland Park.

In the Walter C Parson Cup, three Premier sides were humbled by lower division opposition with two of the sides facing the fortunes that saw Buildbase FA Vase giant kills last weekend only to be followed by losing to lower opposition a week later.

Newquay had won at Buckland Athletic a week ago but lost 0-2 at home to West Division Mousehole, whilst Exmouth Town had beaten Bridgwater Town in the Vase but lost 4-2 away at East side Elmore.

The third cup shock saw Bovey Tracey from the East Division beat Premier side Millbrook 2-1 at Mill Marsh Park.

Three Premier sides though did progress to the next round with Torpoint Athletic leading the way as they beat East side Newton Abbot Spurs by a 9-0 margin at The Mill.

Elburton Villa had a 4-0 win away at West side Bude Town and also beating West opposition were Ivybridge Town, who edged a 2-1 win away at Plymstock United.
