The 23-year-old joined league rivals Worksop Town over the summer and scored twice for the Tigers in their victory over Shepshed Dynamo in an Emirates FA Cup replay but has decided to make the move back to LS25.

Top marksman for the last two seasons with nearly 60 goals in total, Simpson made himself Garforth's all-time top scorer according to current records in April with 82 in all competitions and will look to pick up where he left off.

He'll have some competition though, with Devonte Morton, Curtly Martin-Wyatt and Albert Ibrahimi each on 4 goals so far.

Another recent signing is that of former Hull City and Barton Town man Michael Thompson.

The 26-year-old Irish midfielder joins from another NCEL Premier Division side, Harrogate Railway, where he was captain.
