Bostik League South Central club Ashford Town (Middx) have re-signed Tom Howard from Bostik Premier side....

.....Merstham and `keeper Brannon Daly from the Moatsiders` league rivals Corinthian-Casuals.

 

Howard returns to the Ash Trees and when he joined then during the second half of last season, he quickly became a supporters’ favourite and is welcomed back with open arms to Short Lane.

 

The 23-year-old midfielder began his career with Chelsea and reached the Blues` under-21 squad.

 

He had a loan spell with Metropolitan Police whilst still on Chelsea`s books and had his first stint with Merstham from July 2014 after being released from Stamford Bridge.

 

Daly joins the Tangerines after a short spell with Casuals, who he signed for in August from Horsham.

 

He had joined the Hornets in October 2017, keeping a clean sheet on his debut and going on to impress between the sticks, only to suffer a season-ending injury against Lewes on New Year’s Day.

 

He is a highly-respected goalkeeper who first came to prominence at Merstham before going on to have spells at Walton Casuals, Met Police and Staines Town.
