Robins Bring In Two on Dual Registration

....Richard Whyman and Paolo Piliero, on dual registration from East Midlands Counties League side Clifton All Whites and Rvo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One East outfit Loughborough Dynamo respectively.

 

Striker Whyman`s former clubs include Magdala Amateurs and Dunkirk, while Piliero numbers Long Eaton United, Borrowash Victoria, Eastwood Town, Grantham Town, Gresley FC, Heanor Town, Ilkeston FC and Carlton Town amongst his previous teams.

 

The two are the first signings of Martin McIntosh’s tenure and both are excited to be joining the club.

 

“I know how big the club is and the fantastic fan-base it has,” former Ilkeston FC midfielder Piliero told http://www.ilkestontownfc.co.uk on the chance to come back to the NMG. “It excited me straight away.

 

“The management team have a wealth of experience at all levels of football. The gaffers career speaks for its self and as a player you want to be around people who have this much experience.”

 

While fellow midfielder Whyman added: “I am excited to play for one of the most established and best run clubs in the area.

 

“I cannot wait to play in front of the fans and get cheered on by them and provide them with good performances and help the team win matches.”

 

And both players have high aspirations for the season and feel that they are able to help push the team forward in achieving success.

 

“I want to win the league,” said 29-year-old Whyman. “I feel I will add grit and hard work to the side and I’m a natural leader and organiser.

 

“I work hard throughout the 90 minutes and I feel these are attributes that will add to any side.”

 

Thirty-one-year-old Piliero echoed Whyman’s aspirations for this season: “My personal aims are to be playing football and helping the team win promotion.

 

“I’m still hungry for success. I’m conscious that takes hard work both individually and collectively and I cannot wait to get going”.
