Brother of Billy, Sammy plays as a defender but can also appear in the middle of the park.

He isn’t an unknown face at the Aspect Arena as like Billy, he played a part in the Concord Rangers youth teams.

Knott joined East Thurrock after spending the 2016/17 season with Aveley, having also been with Great Wakering Rovers after leaving the Beachboys.

Whilst with Concord, he played 18 times, scoring once, in their promotion-winning campaign from the Isthmian Premier.

But he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the play-off final and missed all of the following season.

Knott has signed a deal for the rest of this season, with chairman Ant Smith telling http://www.concordrangers.co.uk: “I’m over the moon to see Sammy back at the Aspect Arena with his brother, Billy. It`s great for the brothers to play alongside each other once again like they did so many years ago”.
