...following a 2-1 win at Mossley AFC and a surprise defeat for Radcliffe FC.

Radcliffe`s unbeaten start to the season came to an end as a previously win-less Glossop North End won 2-1 at the Neuven Stadium.

Jack Tuohy gave the Hillmen a 17th minute lead that Darrhyl Mason doubled 5 minutes later.

Things went from bad to worse for Boro in the 58th minute when Prince Haywood put in a strong challenge in the midfield and was sent-off.

The ten-men did manage to reduce the deficit 20 minutes from time through Ben Wharton, but Glossop held on.

At Seel Park, Andy Keogh`s 25th minute effort had the Lilywhites in front at the break.

The Linnets` Freddie Potter produced a stunning overhead kick equaliser in the 75th minute and with Mossley being reduced to ten-men shortly afterwards when Keogh was sent-off, presumably for dissent, Runcorn went all out for the victory.

Josh Dobie was upended in the home box in stoppage time and with Louis Corrigan having had a first half penalty saved, Potter stepped up to slam home the spot-kick to secure a sixth win from eight league games.

At the other end of the table, Skelmersdale United are still without a win this season, but earned a third successive draw and a second 0-0 on the trot, this time at home to Colwyn Bay.

Trafford sealed a 1-0 win at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium, courtesy of a 54th minute Sam Heathcote effort, while Newcastle Town made it three games unbeaten with a 3-1 Lyme Valley Stadium success against Chasetown.

Muzi Nduna had the Scholars in front at the break with his 23rd minute goal.

But just 7 minutes after the restart, Rod Orlando-Young levelled from the spot and the same player put Castle ahead 9 minutes later.

Taylor Attrell added a third 9 minutes from the end.

Leek Town recovered from last Saturday`s Emirates FA Cup defeat to win 4-1 at Harrison Park against new boys Widnes.

Aaron Bott netted a hat-trick with goals in the 9th, 13th and 35th minutes after Rob Stevenson`s 3rd minute opener had been cancelled out by Widnes` Kevin Pollard 5 minutes later.
