Greene has followed up his first signing of Charlie Jemson from Total Motion Midland League Premier Division outfit Ilkeston Town, as revealed on this site yesterday, by bringing in vastly experienced striker Stefan Moore and utility player Keegan Townrow, both of whom have played for him before.
Thirty-four-year-old Moore joins following a brief spell with league rivals Redditch United.
Moore’s reputation and pedigree in the game is clear, boasting a career that started by scoring on his Premier League debut for Aston Villa as an 18-year-old and representing England’s youth teams.
He has been prolific at non-League level, scoring 68 league goals in 80 appearances for St Neots Town, where he was successful under Greene, and 24 in 42 for Leamington where he departed from at the end of last season.
Ironically, Moore had been at The Lamb in the summer but was not offered a contract by then-boss Mike Fowler.
Townrow, who can operate in a number of positions, came through SkyBet League One Doncaster Rovers` academy.
He has worked with Greene before, firstly during a loan spell at United Counties League Premier Division side Boston Town, and then on a more permanent basis following his release by Rovers.
