The 20-year-old will remain at Irongate until October 27th and has permission to play in the Buildbase FA Trophy.

Byrne joined Rovers in February 2018 after leaving Cardiff City, having completed his scholarship at boyhood club Manchester United.

He helped Rovers` under-23s win the Premier League 2 Division 2 title last season but has found game time limited due to the form of first-choice keeper Andy Fisher.

He is expected to go straight into the squad for Brig’s home game against Stafford Rangers tomorrow.
