Hobson, most recently with league rivals Ashton United, joins the Reds for the rest of the 2018/19 campaign.

Hobson has had spells at Stalybridge Celtic and Stockport County in 2012 where he made 26 appearances for the Hatters, scoring 6 goals.

A brief spell at Guiseley AFC followed in 2014 before making the move to Chester FC where he remained until 2016 and the expiry of his contract.

Hobson scored 14 times in 82 games in all competitions for Chester.

Further spells at Altrincham and JD Welsh Premier outfit Aberystwyth Town came in 2017 before Hobson signed for Ashton ahead of the 2018/19 campaign and has featured throughout the Robins start to the season.
