Crane started his career with West Bromwich Albion and moved to Burton Albion and then onto the sadly now defunct Rushden & Diamonds - all before a brief spell with Bromsgrove Rovers.

He subsequently played for Corby Town and Solihull Moors before a lengthy seven-year spell with Hednesford Town.

He joined Vanarama National League North outfit Brackley Town in May 2015 before returning to the Pitmen and then moved to Rushall Olympic in the summer of 2017.
