The club`s committee have confirmed that Joe Doran and the management team of Jamie Hay, Richie Boswarva, Tony Ellis and Daniel O’Connor will remain in charge of first-team affairs.

Doran took over temporarily following the resignation of Phil Stafford a week ago.

The committee will continue to review the progress of the club throughout the season.

Meanwhile, Bootle's record scorer Ryan Cox has returned to the club after two months with league rivals Runcorn Town.

Cox, who scored 73 goals in 103 appearances as well collecting numerous individual honours, including two Macron player the month awards and the Frank Doran Jnr player of year award for the 2016/17 season, is the latest player to return following Steven Jones' return to the club last week.
