As a youngster, Harley spent time at the Sheffield Wednesday academy up to the age of 15 and for the last twelve years has been coaching junior football.

Harley explained: “I run my own junior football club at West Gorton which has 15 teams with over 200 hundred children. Also, within the last three years I have gained invaluable experience coaching on a voluntary basis at Huddersfield Town and I help run their development centre.

"I am very big on playing fast, attacking football and my focus at Atherton LR will be just that. I aim to put all my knowledge that I have gained along the way into building a tight, focused team on the pitch and a close-knit club around the ground.

"I want to bring that buzz back to the field of play and for that to run through the whole club. I see something good within Atherton LR that just needs pushing and I aim to be the one to do that.

"I look forward to getting the team on the pitch and showing the supporters a fresh, new style of play".
