Wheeler, 27, is a winger who started his career in Charlton Athletic's youth setup, where he spent seven years before taking a break from football.

He joined Burgess Hill Town in 2010 and went on to play for Lewes and Tonbridge Angels.

At the start of the 2017/18 season he signed for Dagenham & Redbridge after impressing for Tonbridge during his two seasons there.

In November he made the move to eventual Bostik League champions Billericay Town.

Woking boss Alan Dowson commented: "I've wanted Nicky for a long time, I remember him playing for Tonbridge and watched him in a game against Staines and thought that's the sort of lad I want. I've followed his career. The last move didn't work out quite well for him, but it'll certainly work out here. He's an exciting winger, let's get him one-on-one with full-backs".
