The Eagles are delighted to have added such an experienced individual of non-League football and believe he will become a valuable part of the club.
He has joined in the role of performance analysis coach.
Boateng was recently manager at Bishop`s Stortford in the National League South and scout at Wealdstone.
Previously he was head of football at Histon FC when in the Conference Premier, first-team coach at Dagenham & Redbridge and manager at Cheshunt.
He played for Kvinesdal IL in Norway, Leyton Orient and Bristol City.
Speaking to www.bedfordeagles.net, manager Jon Taylor said: “We are really looking forward to Gordon working alongside the other members of the management team. He will help improve our work ethic and professionalism, both at training and on a match day. I am sure he will be relishing the opportunity to help us improve on and off the pitch, as much as he possibly can.
“Gordon will assist head of coaching Paul Benson with improving players on the training ground, focusing on position specifics and the team’s shape in and out of possession. He will also generate opposition team reports, giving us key insights into sides we will be facing. He will be a very valuable asset to my management team, and we will use his knowledge and experience in the game to continue moving the club forward in the right direction.”
Meanwhile, the Eagles have also announced the signing of Ebby Nelson-Addy.
The 26-year old midfielder joins from league rivals Cambridge City.
Taylor said: “ am extremely glad that we have secured the services of Ebby. He has obvious talent, that he has already shown in the league this season, scoring 7 goals in 12 appearances for Cambridge, including one against us on August Bank Holiday.”
Nelson-Addy has experience of playing at a higher level. He was a youth at Aston Villa, where he played in both legs against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup Final in 2010, and also played for Hartlepool United, Worcester City, Brackley Town and Hemel Hempstead Town.
