Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division club Tamworth have signed striker Gregg Smith from Vanarama National League North side Boston United.

Smith became one of Dennis Greene’s final summer signings as Boston manager in July 2016 having impressed against United in a pre-season fixture for Stamford AFC.

 

Smith had previously served the likes of Spalding United, King’s Lynn Town and Grantham Town.

 

He left The Jakemans Stadium in the summer of 2018 but returned in September following a brief spell with Brackley Town.

 

The 28-year-old, who scored once in six outings during his second spell with the Pilgrims, departs having netted 15 goals in 66 appearances overall.
