The former Chelsea and Boston defender joined Shaw Lane AFC in time for the trip to Ashton United back in October 2017 and went on to play 34 matches.

Gordon failed to score during his time with the club but came very close during the Senior Cup Final where he was utilised on the left side of midfield.

He re-joins former assistant-manager John Read along with former Ducks players Nicky Walker,  Jack Tuohy and Cameron Hough at the Northolme as well as new signing from Buxton, Joe Maguire.

Striker Damian Reeves (pictured), who was also with Shaw Lane, has signed for  Trinity, whose manager is his former boss at Altrincham, Lee Sinnott.
