Smith Makes Permanent Spireites Move

Midfielder Jonathan Smith has left SkyBet League Two side Stevenage after having his contract terminated by mutual....

....consent and has joined Chesterfield following a successful loan spell with the Vanarama National League club.

 

Smith won promotion from the Conference in 2013/14 with Luton Town, playing 145 times for the Hatters.

 

The 32-year-old has also turned out for Forest Green Rovers, York City and Swindon Town before signing for Stevenage in the summer of 2017.

 

Smith, who has scored in each of his last three games, has put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal with the Spireites.

 

He was on loan until January before all the parties concerned agreed to make it a permanent move.
