....there were also seventeen matches in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League.

Both faced lower ranked opposition and it proved a particularly tight affair for Bridlington who won 2-1 at Sculcoates Amateurs in their second round tie, Jake Day and Alex Bannister with the Seasiders' goals in the opening period.

East Yorkshire Carnegie took on North Ferriby Athletic in a game that had been switched to Carnegie's Dunswell Park home and they were 2-0 up by the interval with goals from Lewis Sarel and Josh Walker.

Athletic halved the deficit early in the second half but Thomas Whiting scored Carnegie's third before Harley Ward and Walker's second made the scoreline look more convincing in stoppage time with a 5-1 victory.

In the Premier Division, Yorkshire Amateur's seventh victory in a row kept them six points clear at the top of the table, Jason St Juste's 78th minute goal proving enough as they beat visitors Garforth Town 1-0.

Second-placed Penistone Church were also single-goal winners as Gregg Anderson's own goal saw them narrowly beat their third-placed hosts Knaresborough Town.

Eccleshill United were the day's only other winners in the top flight as an Adam Shaw double helped them to a 3-2 defeat of basement hosts Harrogate Railway Athletic and tightened the Eagles' grip on eleventh place.

The other five Premier Division games all ended in draws with none as dramatic as at Haworth Park where Hall Road Rangers went into stoppage time 1-0 up against visitors Staveley Miners Welfare thanks to Joshua Vickers' first-half goal.

Joe Pugh equalised in the 93rd minute before Jamal Riley gave the away side a 2-1 lead that only lasted seconds as Keiron Walker popped up to make it a point apiece in a 2-2 draw.

Four goals were also shared by Thackley and visitors Bottesford Town, Jack McMenemy twice putting the Poachers in the lead before the home side levelled through Jordan Hendrie and then Daniel Broadbent.

It was also 2-2 at the King of Soho Stadium between Worksop Town and Barton Town, the hosts snatching a point with an injury-time leveller from Craig Mitchell.

Danny Frost's early penalty for Maltby Main was cancelled out by Lee Cooksey on 25 minutes in a 1-1 draw at home to Handsworth Parramore.

And, Athersley Recreation travelled to Hemsworth Miners Welfare where they played out a goalless game.

Winterton Rangers' advantage at the top of Division One has been cut to goal difference after they were also involved in a 0-0 draw, at Glasshoughton Welfare.

Campion extended their unbeaten run to ten games as they won 4-0 at home to Skegness Town to join Rangers on 35 points, Jason Carney opening the scoring before an Aiden Day brace and a fourth from Matthias Britton confirmed the victory.

Grimsby Borough, Nostell Miners Welfare, Selby Town and Worsbrough Bridge Athletic all won to keep it as you were in the top six.

Daniel Trott's first-half hat-trick gave Grimsby Borough a 3-0 victory at Rossington Main, Jack Owen netted the only goal of the game as Nostell defeated hosts Ollerton Town, and three goals in the last ten minutes from Charlie Clamp, Joseph Dale and Liam Flanagan claimed a 4-1 win for Selby at bottom side FC Bolsover.

Worsbrough completed an excellent day for the pack chasing Winterton as Kieran Hirst's 65th minute strike saw their trip to Parkgate end with a 1-0 victory.

The only movement in either division on Saturday saw Hallam leap-frog Glasshoughton into seventh with a 5-2 home defeat of Armthorpe Welfare that included two goals each for Kieran Watson and Benjamin Thornton.

And, there were victories on their own patch for Dronfield Town and Swallownest that keep them in ninth and thirteenth, respectively.

Christian Savage and Callum Mawbey scored either time of the interval as Dronfield came from behind to beat Shirebrook Town 2-1.

And, there was a dramatic game at Rotherham Road where Swallownest were 3-3 with Harworth Colliery going into the last six minutes, Alex Nightingale's hat-trick seemingly picking up a vital point for the visitors but Joshua Statham grabbed a late winner for the hosts as he made it 4-3.
