However, they have moved swiftly to name his replacement.

Keith has been in the post for thirteen months after taking over from Gary Henty.

Assistant-manager Lee Hodges has also left the club.

Club chairman Danny Nash told the club`s website: "The club would like to thank Joe and Lee for their excellent service to the club and wish them all the very best."

Nash moved quickly though to announce that Marc Harrison has been appointed first-team manager with immediate effect, with Liam Wallace as his assistant.

After leaving Basildon United just a week ago, both Harrison and Wallace are excited with the appointment.

Both are familiar to Tilbury after managing the club`s under-16s two years ago and had great success with Basildon Town in the Essex Olympian League before taking Basildon United out of the Essex Senior League last season into the Bostik North.
