The midfielder re-joins City following a seven-day approach and will join up with Mark Jones' squad immediately for the trip to Dartford this evening.

Self joined the Puritans in August 2016 and went on to make 108 appearances, scoring 15 goals.

This was only part of his journey through Oxfordshire as he previously had a spell with Didcot Town.

More good news for the club came with the news that their Emirates FA Cup replay against SkyBet League Two side Tranmere Rovers has been selected for live coverage by BT Sport.

The match, that will be played on Tuesday, 20th November, will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1.

The initial match-up saw the two sides battle out a 3-3 draw which saw the tie require this replay.
