O`Rawe made over 200 appearances for Brentwood as a player and was in the team that gained promotion to the Ryman Premier Division in 2015 to achieve the club’s highest ever position in non-League football.

Brentwood chairman Jez Dickinson told https://www.brentwoodtownfc.co.uk: “Ryan is a new, young manager who is smart, hungry and a winner. I know he will be successful.”

O`Rawe commented: ''I am thrilled to be appointed First Team Manager at a club that means so much to me already. After meeting the chairman and the committee, I am filled with confidence that the club will be successful and the plans for the future really excite me.”

And O’Rawe was quick to make his first signing, bringing Andy Freeman back to the Brentwood Arena for the 2019/20 season.

The talented and popular attacking midfielder came through the youth and under-21 teams and established himself in the first-team by the end of the 2014/15 season, winning the player of the year award in 2015/16.

After making 126 appearances for Brentwood, scoring 23 goals, he moved to Vanarama National League South side Concord Rangers during the 2017/18 season and spent last season with league rivals Aveley.

O'Rawe said: "It shows a real intent of exactly what our ambitions are for this season. In my opinion, Andy is one of the best attacking players in this league and more importantly a great lad. More signings of this ilk will look to be added over the next couple of weeks".
