....Jordan Blackwell from now Essex Senior League side Stanway Rovers.

Morsley told the club`s website: “I knew Jordy from his first time at the club and actually tried to sign him last season. He was always the main target as fundamentally he’s a Sudbury lad! He knows the club and shares the standards that were installed in him during his time with academy director Danny Laws.

“We continue to build a group that can play exciting and expansive football; Jordy will be a big part of that.”

Blackwell, 21, originally signed for Sudbury in March 2014, after the first spell with Stanway.

He had been with Colchester United for a number of seasons and had represented Essex FA at under-16 level.

He made his first-team debut for Sudbury in April 2014 at Redbridge as a substitute.

He was selected to play for Suffolk FA and signed his first contract with the club lasting until the end of the 2014/15 season.

In June 2015 he announced he had agreed to stay with the club for the 2015/16 season, and also joined the academy.

He played regularly and in the last week of January 2016 was invited to train with Ipswich Town for a week.

He played throughout the season culminating in winning an Isthmian North championship medal at the end of it.

He started the 2016/17 season with the club. However, in September he went on loan to Brightlingsea Regent to get some game time and then signed on loan with former club Stanway for the remainder of the season.

In May 2017 he announced he had left the club and re-signed for Stanway Rovers.
