Fisher
joins following the departure of Luke Gregson and Dean Gilbert after an
emphatic league cup win earlier this month.
Gregson
and Gilbert have stepped down as manager and assistant-manager for family and
business reasons.
Fisher
has a proven track record of promotion in the Spartan South Midlands League
with Welwyn Garden City and is ideally placed to match the club`s future
aspirations.
He
took over the Citizens helm in May 2013 and led them to promotion to the
Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central before resigning in January due
to `budgeting issues`.
He
was appointed manager of Bostik League South Central outfit Hertford Town a
month later but his stay at Hertingfordbury Park was a brief one, leaving after
just seven weeks.
Fisher
said: “I am delighted to be taking up the position as manager of Baldock Town.
“The
club clearly match my ambitions and I am excited to build on the great work the
previous management team have done on restoring the club on the path of being a
big non-League player again.
“With
a brand-new stadium and facility to be built in the coming years that will be
the best around and being back in Baldock will push the club to a new level.
“My
job is within the next two years to make sure the club are playing Step 4
football when moving into the new ground”. |
