Marks,
who has been a long-term target of manager Mark Morsley, will add Sudbury to an
impressive CV having been a prolific goalscorer at both Step 2 and Step 3.
Morsley
told http://www.afcsudbury.co.uk:
“Sean is a player I have admired for a long time plus he is a great lad. We
spoke at length about our clubs plans and how I want to build a squad that
combined the excellent Academy products and like-minded experienced
footballers. He ticks all these boxes and along with Paul Hayes will be a great
role model and inspiration for Freddie King and Tom Maycock in their fledgling
careers.”
Marks signs from Bostik Premier side Hornchurch,
where he had been since joining from Vanarama National League side Maidenhead
United in May 2018.
He is an experienced
striker who signed for Maidenhead in the summer of 2016 from Braintree Town to
re-unite with manager Alan Devonshire.
He played over 300 games
for the Iron in an eight-year spell following his transfer from Heybridge
Swifts.
He played a leading role
in Braintree’s remarkable rise to the highest echelon of non-League football,
scoring 25 goals when they won the Conference South in 2011.
He scored on his debut for
Hornchurch last season on his way to scoring 18 goals during the season.
