The
28-year-old has penned a two-year deal at Aggborough after leaving league
rivals Nuneaton Town earlier this summer and becomes boss Neil MacFarlane’s
first new recruit.
Chambers
brings plenty of experience with him. The former Leicester City player spent
seven years with the Foxes before featuring for the likes of Grimsby Town and
York City, scoring in the Promotion Final for the Minstermen at Wembley Stadium
in 2012.
The
Leicester-born man then featured in the Football League for Grimsby once more
and Dagenham & Redbridge, before linking up with Nuneaton for a hugely
profitable loan spell in 2017.
That
stint was made permanent this time last year as Chambers inked a deal to remain
with Boro, going on to net 25 goals in all competitions last season.
He’s
been the subject of significant interest elsewhere but opted for the move to
Aggborough ahead of the 2018/19 term.
