Manager Justin Gardner has brought striker Jay Knight back to Mayesbrook after spells with Essex Senior League sides Redbridge, Basildon United and Sporting Bengal.

He scored 21 goals last season and returns from Sporting Bengal.

Knight previously joined Barking ahead of the 2017/18 season after being Clapton's top goal scorer in 2016/17.

During his previous stint he played 18 times and found the net 4 times but has since been scoring freely at a number of clubs in both the Bostik North and Essex Senior League.

One of his best spells came in that season as he joined Romford where he netted 3 times in just 3 appearances before leaving the club due to work commitments.

Defender or midfielder Ryan Mallett joins Barking from former Bostik North rivals Brentwood Town.

He made 43 appearances in total last season, the first for Bowers & Pitsea, the rest for Brentwood, who he joined in late August 2018 - scoring 7 goals.

He joined Romford in the summer of 2016 and made 44 appearances before signing for Bowers & Pitsea in July 2017 and spent time on loan with Saffron Walden Town before joining Brentwood a couple of weeks into the 2018/19 season.

Forward Theo Fairweather-Johnson joins the Blues from Greenwich Borough, who were relegated to the Southern Counties East League at the end of last season.

He scored 14 goals as AFC Hornchurch stormed to the 2017/18 Bostik North title but made only 18 appearances last term before ending up at Greenwich.

Prior to signing for the Urchins, the 30-year-old had spells with Dulwich Hamlet, Fisher Athletic, Beckenham Town, Welling United and Thamesmead Town.
