Strevens initially led the side on a caretaker basis following the departure of Andy Hessenthaler to league rivals Dover Athletic last season.

After his permanent appointment in November 2018, Strevens led his Spitfires side to the play-off semi-finals, only to have their season ended via a penalty shoot-out against eventual winners, Salford City.

Strevens will be joined by Jason Bristow as assistant-manager and Ross Flitney as goalkeeping coach, who have also signed two-year deals to remain with the club.

Strevens told https://www.eastleighfc.com: “I’m delighted to get it all signed and all done, I think it was important for me and the management team after last season the club has shown a lot of faith in us. After last season it was a case of putting our own personal situations to one side to sort out the squad.

“We really have to build on what we did last year, keep working hard and now it’s a long-term project and hopefully a successful one”.
