Henry,
who will officially be a Billericay player as soon as his contract expires on
30th June, began his career at Tottenham Hotspur. However,
he was released at the age of 17 and joined Stevenage on a free transfer in
January 2005 and would later become a key member of a historic Boro side including
a Conference Premier play-off win against Torquay United in 2005.
In his initial seven-year
spell, Henry won the FA Trophy in 2009 and gained four England C caps and has
also won promotion with Luton Town.
After leaving Stevenage to
join Luton in 2012, he returned to Broadhall Way two years later, where he has gone on to
become Stevenage’s all-time record appearance holder with over 450 games to his
name.
Billericay
manager Harry Wheeler told https://www.billericaytownfc.co.uk:
”Ronnie is a Stevenage legend and amongst other big clubs he has been at, he is
a leader, a great club man, he will be a great addition with his vast League
experience. He knows how to control games from the back and it’s taken a while
but I’m delighted to say he is now a Billericay Town player”. |
